6 stages from concept to delivery

Every stage has clear deliverables. You always know what is happening, what comes next, and when.

Requirements Discovery

Week 1–2

Share your product brief, target market, price point, and certification needs. Our engineering and BD teams work with you to define the specification sheet — enclosure, electronics, firmware features, packaging, and compliance requirements. We flag feasibility issues early so you never invest in a design that cannot be manufactured.

Deliverables: Product spec sheet, preliminary BOM cost estimate, project timeline proposal.

Sample Development

OEM: 2–4 weeks · ODM: 6–12 weeks

For OEM projects: we produce pre-production samples from your approved spec with your branding, packaging, and any minor modifications. For ODM projects: our R&D team develops custom enclosures, electronics, and firmware, iterating prototypes until every parameter matches the agreed spec.

Deliverables: Pre-production samples (3–5 units), dimensional report, functional test report.

Certification & Compliance

4–8 weeks (parallel with sampling)

Our in-house compliance team manages the full certification process — CE, FCC, RoHS, REACH, and any region-specific marks your market requires (UL, UKCA, SAA, KC, PSE). Testing is performed at accredited third-party labs. You receive the complete documentation package: test reports, DoC, and cert certificates.

Deliverables: Certification package, test reports, declaration of conformity.

Trial Production

2–3 weeks

A small-batch production run (typically 50–200 units) validates the full manufacturing process: tooling performance, assembly line throughput, QC checkpoint effectiveness, and packaging durability. Any process adjustments identified during the trial are implemented before mass production begins.

Deliverables: Trial batch units, process capability report, golden sample sign-off.

Mass Production

4–8 weeks (depends on volume)

Full production with IQC → IPQC → FQC → OQC gates at every stage. You receive weekly production updates with photos and QC data. We encourage an on-site or virtual pre-shipment inspection before the balance payment is due. Typical on-time delivery rate exceeds 97%.

Deliverables: Production units, AQL inspection report, packing list, commercial invoice.

Logistics & After-Sales

Sea: 15–35 days · Air: 5–10 days

FOB, CIF, or DDP — your choice. We coordinate with your forwarder or manage the full shipment door-to-door. Spare parts kits (recommended 2–3% of order quantity) ship with the main order. Our after-sales team handles warranty claims within 48 hours and maintains spare parts inventory for 3+ years.

Deliverables: Bill of lading, certificate of origin, packing list, spare parts kit, warranty registration.

These are the most common customization dimensions. Have something else in mind? Ask — we have likely done it before.

Color & finish

Pantone-matched enclosures, soft-touch coating, metallic or matte finishes. Minimums apply for custom color compounding.

Materials

Switch from standard ABS to PC, ABS+PC, or food-grade PP. Specify UV-stabilized grades for outdoor use or flame-retardant grades for specific markets.

Function modules

Add or remove sensors (weight, odor, PM2.5, temperature, humidity), connectivity modules (WiFi, BLE, Zigbee), or physical features (handles, locks, filters).

Packaging

Custom box design, in-box collateral, QR code integration, retail-ready vs. bulk-pack. We handle packaging engineering and drop testing.

App branding

White-label the companion app with your brand identity, color scheme, and custom features. SDK available for deeper integration into your existing app ecosystem.

Firmware

Custom firmware features — notification logic, sensor thresholds, LED behavior, power modes. OTA update infrastructure included for smart products.
